RAELYN ZELINSKI is hereafter referred to as ‘RAELYN’ or the 'MAKEUP ARTIST’.

LIABILITY:

• All clients must fill out the appropriate forms before entering into any session. 

• All brushes and makeup products are kept sanitary and are sanitized between every makeup application.

• All metal tools for makeup, eyebrows and lash extensions as well as combs and hair clips for hair styling are sanitized and disinfected prior to use on the client.

• Any skin condition should be reported by the client to the MAKEUP ARTIST prior to cosmetic application, and if need be, a sample test of makeup may be performed on the skin to test reaction.

• Clients agree to release RAELYN from liability for any allergic reaction or injury suffered by client and/or client’s party due to cosmetics, oils, metals, latex or any ingredients if not mentioned prior to application. You will inform RAELYN in-advance if anyone receiving a service has any specific allergies or sensitivities.

• For your safety and hygiene you understand that makeup services are temporary and it is recommended to remove all makeup and faux lashes prior to bed. Please wash out any temporary hair colour and remove bobby pins, etc. prior to bed. You understand and will follow the recommended care and maintenance of your new or existing lash extensions.

• All participants receiving a service will be asked to sign a beauty consent form, as well as an optional photo and video release. If for any reason the client refuses to sign the beauty consent form prior to receiving a makeup application service will be refused and the client will have to pay 50% of their service before rebooking.

HEALTH & WELLNESS: You understand RAELYN reserves the right to deny a service due to a client having a contagious condition, sickness, or any high risk that may affect her health like contagious conditions include but not limited to bacterial diseases, cold sores, viruses (like influenza or coronavirus), fungus, lice, etc. You agree to inform RAELYN if there is a contagious risk of any sort ahead of time.​

SAFETY: Misconduct, disrespect and abuse in any form will not be tolerated and the services will not be performed on the individual or individuals. You will not receive any deposits back nor any additional payments made.

BOOKINGS: To secure a wedding makeup booking, a signed contract with a 50% non-refundable deposit due. The deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable. Please be advised, dates and scheduled makeup times will only be reserved when a signed contract and deposit are received. All other makeup or beauty services can be booked without a contract, however a 50% non-refundable deposit is required.

CONTRACTS: All contracts MUST be completed in full when returned to the MAKEUP ARTIST.

BOOKING TIMES: Wedding and graduation contracts will contain a start time and an estimated end time. Each makeup application requires a certain length of time to be finished and is not to exceed time limit. When reserving your date, book accordingly. Any additional makeup needs outside contract will only be performed at the discretion of the MAKEUP ARTIST. All persons involved in makeup appointments need to be available at the scheduled time of said appointments in order to not break the contract. All booking times and locations must be scheduled 1 month prior to event date.

PAYMENT: In full consideration for all services rendered by the MAKEUP ARTIST the client agrees to make all payments in Canadian funds to the MAKEUP ARTIST.

 

GRATUITY: Gratuities are not included in any pricing or services offered. It is customary in the beauty industry to tip 10-20% of the service fee to your artist, stylist or technician. This is not required but it is always very much appreciated.

TRAVEL: A round-trip travel fee of $0.72/KM is charge to all appointments and services booked.

 

DEPOSITS, CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS:​

• In the event of cancellation, for contract bookings: 1 month notice is required. For all other bookings of brows, makeup or lashes: 24 hour notice is preferred but only 1 hour notice is required. Remaining amount will be invoiced for failing to cancel appointment.

• The remaining balance is due the morning of the event as one payment before any makeup applications – NO EXCEPTIONS. The person responsible for the entire balance of payment is the person who has signed the booking contract.

• Acceptable forms of payment are:​

  • INTERACT DEBIT: Canadian Cards with tap or chip card only.

  • CREDIT CARDS: Canadian Visa, Master Card or AMEX only.

  • E-GIFT CARDS: Please have your gift card code with you to redeem.

• All deposits paid by clients are non-refundable. This includes if the contract is cancelled at anytime by the client or the MAKEUP ARTIST.

NO SHOW: RAELYN is not responsible for no show clients. 

• In the event a client is a no-show and does not contact RAELYN in-advance to either cancel or reschedule the appointment or does not contact her to say they are running late, the full amount is still due and will be charged and is payment is final without makeup or brow service.

• New appointment bookings for clients who were previously a no-show will be required to pay the full amount of the new service being booked prior to booking which will not be reimbursed under any circumstances. After a second no-show from a client all service requests will be denied.

 

DELAYS: When a client is late for the scheduled time, or if scheduled makeup exceeds allotted time because of client delays the MAKEUP ARTIST will do her best to complete all delayed client appointments but it is not guaranteed.

EVENT DATE/TIME CHANGE: You understand RAELYN books other appointments before and after yours. Any changes to your date, or time are subject to RAELYN’s availability for these to be accommodated. Your non-refundable deposit will not be returned if RAELYN in unavailable for your new date or time.
